Paint- Grind

Electro-Mechanical, LLC is seeking a Paint- Grind based at our facility in Bristol, Virginia. The Paint- Grind supports the manufacturing process by preparing, finishing, and inspecting metal components according to customer specifications and company standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with team members to ensure high-quality output and efficient workflow. 

How You will Make an Impact:

  • Comprehend and follow shop procedures, standard practice instructions, prints, diagrams, and other written and verbal instructions, noting special customer requirements. 

  •  Manipulate apparatus and components to required workstations (such as the wash and paint booths), equipment, stations, and positions. 

  • Able to use hand tools and air tools.  

  • Grind, weld, and dress metal defects on the unit surface. 

  • Comprehend and observe all safety and quality standards, including wearing personal protective equipment, and participate in Kaizen and Area Focus Teams. 

  • Using manual tools, occasional solvents, and cleaning supplies to maintain a clean and orderly work area. 

  • To maintain regular and timely attendance, to work efficiently, and to work overtime when required, all sufficiently to support the continuous manufacturing process  

  • Work in close concert with, and get along with, co-workers. 

What You Bring:

  • High school or GED equivalent with a relevant Tech school or appropriate combination of education, training, skills, and experience.   

  • The Human Resource Administrator can determine whether education and training are equivalent based on the associate’s experience.
